♥ Online on Queen Street ---K-Star things, and sometimes bonnets
.gone. well they aren't selling k-star stuff anymore, they sold all their stuff to twylight.

♥ Clik Klak on 38 Kensington ---knee socks
one on queen street as well + accessories, next to borderline, both stores, more punk and gothic stuff.

♥ TwyLight at Kensington Market ---punk/lolita/costumes/K-star
+bodyline, and soon AH, and a couple other smaller brands with better quality than kstar

♥Hells belles- queen west of Spadina. has demonia shoes and accessories, I also saw some great lolita pjs, most the stuff in there is indie handmade.

I bought an awesome loli umbrella in the china town mall, they had pink, black, sax blue and white. I don't know what the store is called but they sell little kids clothing mostly.

As for restaurants it could be a huge list if bubble tea and cafes are included. I don't know where to start with that one..

I second Hells Bells, Borederline, and Clik Klak.
Clik Klak has two stores on Queen and one store on Bloor(west of Spadina).

There is another Clic Klak on Queens street, if I'm not mistaken. I've walked by several times but I've never gone inside. If you're walking north, it is on the left side. Can anyone confirm this though?

I can confirm that, as [info]lokoum says, there is a Clic Klak on Queen Street, although I'm not sure that it's on the left side if you're walking north. IIRC it is on the left side if you are walking west. I wouldn't describe any of the clothes there as loliable, though.

The shop in Pacific Mall that was previously located in the Idee Fixe storefront has moved. Last time I checked (June) it relocated to Splendid China Tower across the street from Pacific Mall. It is called Animate Cosroom and they sell cosplays, poor-quality brand replicas, and Montreal shoes. If for some reason you cannot buy online, they are also able to order shoes for you.

Also, last time I was in Toronto, the owner of the Stars location a block south of Yonge and College told me that she was planning on opening a whole floor dedicated to K-Star.

Personally, although these stores are decent in terms of accessories, I'd say that H&M and Forever XXI surpass them in terms of loliable clothing. Most of the shops in Toronto that sell specifically lolita clothing mark up clothes by quite a bit in order to compensate for low demand and high rent costs. Although going shopping is fun and it's good to support local merchants, buying clothes online will give you a lot more quality and selection for your money.

I agree with H&M and Forever 21 having tons of loliable things, but I have found a sufficient amount at Clik Klak as well.
Also I can confirm that yes the store in the Pacific Mall relocated to across the street.

yeah I agree as well. but for lolita visitng the city i find a guide was good and good for newbies. and i find i found more loliable in the pacific mall then anywhere else!

This might be helpful for any gothic lolis: http://www.toronto-goth.com/ but I am not sure how much of the stuff is loliable.

There is also a store on Queen Street called Magic Pony (past Spadina going west) and it has sweet loliable wallets/jewelry/keychains (however loli keychains can even get..)

October 11 2009, 02:02:58 UTC 2 years ago

i honestly don't see any thing that could remotely be loliable

Okay. (:
I have never actually looked at the site for loliable things, just goth things. ahah

Hi hi, just thought I'd let you know that the Animate Cosroom is closing down. Could someone let me know if buying on ebay is better than buying at a shoppe? Thanks! :D

[info]uttate

October 18 2009, 12:09:42 UTC 2 years ago

toronto itself doesn't have a lolita store but god don't buy on ebay they steal most of the images and it's usually a rip off

[info]uttate

October 18 2009, 12:11:16 UTC 2 years ago

i guess it good animate cossroom is closing too. there quality is terrible very cosplayish

October 18 2009, 16:14:57 UTC 2 years ago

True >< but that's as long as you browse carefully through, then you actually pick up some really nice pieces! ^^ I guess it was the same argument for Bodyline 2 years ago, now they're upped their quality and their lolita pieces are still good for a tight budget and looks better. Oh and thanks about your opinion on ebay. I had a friend who was going to buy, but I talked her out of it, then wondered if I was wrong. But in my opinion I'd worry about the shipping/handling and taxing/custom fees since a lot of the clothes come from Hong Kong. I don't have anything against HK, since my family is from there, but I'm not really particular on specific brand names even though it would be nice to get them.

a friend told me there is a lolita store within walking distance of the Eaton center, she said it was called bodyline (i wish) but she could have just thought it was called that.

is this store one of the ones already listed? my Fiancee is going down to check it out, and was asking (if this store exists) what i wanted....

sorry if this makes no sence =(

Pretty much: any lolita stores near the eaton centre?

October 21 2009, 15:37:53 UTC 2 years ago

loli stores....

i dunno where you girls go to H&M but i've yet to see one thing that is loliable in any H&M.... Twylite seems to be Toronto's lolita store without being only lolita... and I've yet to buy an item on ebay that hasn't been perfect and exactly what the description said.:) try http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/cosplay007__W0QQ_armrsZ1
or http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/Wai1222-CoLLecTiOn__W0QQ_armrsZ1 not strictly lolita and described as cosplay but great quality from both stores.

Re: loli stores....

H&M and F21 both sell great blouses, accessories, tights, socks ect. Honestly there is something for every kind of lolita and it's not to hard to find something in these stores at all. H&M has released very loli like purses like the heart shapped black candy box one a little over a year ago and then F21 sold a smaller one like it. Not to mention plenty of lolita have found suitable dresses from H&M (it's rare but happens)

And every time i go into twylite it sucks. The clothes is from kstar with a small selection from BL. Their prices are absolutely ridiculous and i have yet to buy anything from them. Kensington market is a good place to find a few dresses as well

and as for the recommended lolita shop i wouldn't buy from either of them. it's a know rule the only ebay shop are something to stay away from the only acception is shoes!

I just went to Ice Zone yesterday (I know it's already on this list) and they had so many shoes and winter coats that were -very- loliable. Too bad I already have an ugly winter coat...and my feet are too big for their shoes. It's very difficult though to find white shoes and boots in Toronto I find, and they had plenty, with heart shaped buckles and everything.

Oh, and I didn't realize that Malabar was on this list but I went there a few weeks ago and will second it as well. The only thing that worries me is the prices in there...but they have petticoats and stuff also.
